“PotHoles” is based on Jonathan(Johny)'s life with his best friend Gina when he lived in Edmonton, Alberta for 15 years. Gina passed away from cancer in 2017, so Jonathan(Johny) wants to dedicate the film in her memory. He believes in inspiring our children and those battling addiction, mental illness, or any disability to pursue their aspirations, and he hopes to be able to demonstrate to them through the movie "PotHoles" that we can accomplish our goals despite the obstacles we encounter along the way. Additionally, he wants “PotHoles” to have a large number of characters and performers with impairments and to be extremely multicultural.
A struggling actor named Johny gets lucky smoking Captain's magical space weed but his luck turns bad when a bad guy named Hollywood takes it all away... in THC - Surround Sound.

This is a proof of concept trailer of the POTHOLES Movie. Gina will be played by Tracy Bone, and the Johny character is yet to be cast. We will be holding auditions for the lead role.
This movie is about Jonathan's time with one of his best friends Gina when they were chronic stoners in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His family call him Jonathan, his close friends call him Johny and people who don't know him well call him John. He even ends up becoming a john in the story.
He was born in Edmonton but raised in St. Paul, Alberta, Canada. Furthermore, he's french-ukrainian, an artist and struggling actor in Edmonton during the period of this film. He has lost touch with all his friends, broken up with his girlfriend and is mourning the death of his Grandparents, so he abuses marijuana. He also gets diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. Not only that, but he's lonely, meets Gina who constantly needs a ride, and they soon become close friends where crazy and funny stoner adventures happen.

Gina is a Métis Waitress at a stripper club in Edmonton, Alberta. She's a mother of 3 girls and has 3 dogs and 3 cats, her boyfriend is Kyle who is Métis as well.
She's a major stoner, a hooter girl as Kyle calls her and she's also an alcoholic, even more than usual after the death of her Mom.
Gina is sick and tired of the old perverted guys at work and of the smell of crack at her work which her co-workers partake. She has morals, but also has the mouth of a trucker, swearing a lot, especially when she's mad. She's an Alpha Female and you don't want to mess with an Alpha Female... if you do, you better run. She loves Johny like a brother

Captain is a Cree Canadian pot dealer who is obsessed with the 80s, the current time of the movie is early 2000s. He grows his weed to the sound of 80s music and says his weed is magical 80s space weed, that it gives good luck to those who smoke it. He loves the 80s so much his house is full of 80s memorabilia and he even cosplays, dressed as Captain Kirk of Star Trek 24/7.
He grows his weed in his house, he said he was abducted by aliens back in 85 and that he met Jesus, he goes every year to the St.Paul UFO landing pad to get re-abducted by aliens but they seem to not be coming up.
He goes on a wild adventure with Johny and Gina in the movie and uses the power of the 80s to deal with the bad guy Hollywood.
Captain is played by Howie Miller.

Jonathan R. Holeton of MindWave Studios Ltd. wrote PotHoles which is about his stoner adventures with his best friend Gina in Edmonton, Alberta. He's been an Artist all his life where his parents surrounded him with books and art. He's been a professional Actor since 1995 and got behind the camera in various departments in 2001. He's producing PotHoles because it's important to him. He feels it will help those struggling with addiction & mental illness and it will also make the world have a laugh. He's dedicating the film in memory of his best friend Gina Buckle, who passed away from cancer in 2017.
Malcolm Soosay of Lunch Box Pictures has been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. Working on film and television projects of all sizes. He presently has the record of being the first Aboriginal filmmaker to ever be allowed to film inside the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Living on the Maskwacis First Nation Reservation of Samson, he freelances and writes. Trying to find work in Canada where most freelance projects available are in conflict zones. He will be returning to the Ukraine to finish a documentary on a children’s orphanage.
Dylan Pearce grew up and studied in Windsor, ON. before heading out West and graduating from the Red Deer College Film School. Dylan returned to Windsor in 2007 to film his first feature film Baby Blues. The Canadian Indie hit starred Jenny Levine from the Fox TV show 24, as a woman struggling to come to terms with the devastating mistakes of her past so she can alter the course of her future. Dylan relocated to Edmonton to produce the comedy The Bike Heist, co-produced with Treefort Labs from Vancouver. Dylan is currently in post production for For The Love of Pasta.
